City University

City will be part of the University of London by the time new entrants enrol in 2016. It will continue to set its own entrance requirements and award its own degrees, but will become one of the 18 autonomous colleges within the federal university.

Becoming part of one of the oldest and most respected universities in the world will add considerably to City’s pulling power. Professor Paul Curran, the vice-chancellor, said the move would strengthen City’s international profile and expand its research and education capabilities.
