About Capital One
We’re Capital One.
Since our launch in the UK in 1996 we’ve risen to become one of the top 10 UK credit card providers with over 3 million customers. And we’re growing. Fast.
Using our award winning Information Based Strategy approach, we’ve created many new and original concepts making us a leading player in the financial industry. We were the credit card that created the 0% balance transfer concept, now one of the most popular credit card products in the UK.
Which One are you?
Our people make us who we are at Capital One. We look for clever clogs and curious minds, creative thinkers who like to do things differently and chatty people with heaps of personality. Whichever one of these you are – or if you’re all four rolled into one big bundle of tremendous talent – we’d like to get to know you better.
You’ve got the knowledge and the drive.
Now all you need is a place where you’re given responsibility from the start in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that values your collaborative and analytical abilities.
We want genuine original thinkers to join our graduate programmes, people who can think laterally as well as logically. You don’t need to know about credit cards, but you do need to enjoy challenging work.
We offer graduate programmes across our Marketing and IT departments giving you a comprehensive understanding of the financial industry as well as exposure to multiple business areas to challenge you in a variety of projects.
We recognise talent when we see it.
And we take care to invest in it. That’s why we have a dedicated in-house Capital One University to help kick start your career with the highly regarded graduate development programme designed to help you develop world-class analytical skills and business intuition.
You’ll get all the technical training you need to do your job while you learn about our organisation alongside plenty of fun and interactive sessions on everything from presenting skills to how to become an innovation guru.
When you join us, you’ll be assigned a buddy who works in your team to help you integrate and you’ll have regular catch-ups with your manager who’ll work with you to develop your ongoing learning requirements.
We are a great place to work (it’s official).
In 2012, Great Places to Work ranked us second in the UK and ninth in Europe and we have also been voted one of Britain’s Top Employers. Plus we’ve won industry awards across the business and numerous accolades for work in the community.
We reckon our office and culture really set us apart from other companies; it’s open plan and dynamic with plenty of innovative spaces for you to work and play. From a room that looks like the North Pole (complete with igloo) to our free on-site gym, award-winning restaurant, fully equipped music room so you can rock out at lunch time or the beach hut work spaces, you’ll find lots of different areas in our stimulating office environment.
