Training and Development

Graduates progress through specific operational roles, to gain a broad range of experiences throughout their career with the company. Rapid skills growth and career development is standard and graduates can expect a high degree of intellectual challenge and change throughout their career. A broad range of exciting opportunities are available within both commercial and technical functions, where graduates can expect immediate responsibility.

Graduates will receive extensive technical and personal skills training via internal and external courses, as well as through on-the-job training. Job rotations every two to three years offer graduates the opportunity to test and develop their skills, by applying them to new and exciting challenges. Obtaining Chartership status is also encouraged where appropriate, eg IChemE and CIMA.

How many schemes can I apply for?

Please take your time in selecting the scheme of your choice as we are only able to accept one application per candidate. You will have an opportunity to state your second choice on the application form.

What does the graduate selection process involve?

Once you’ve sent us your on-line application form, you will receive an acknowledgement note on your screen at the very last page of the application process.
 
If you are successful at the initial screening stage, you will be invited to undertake an on-line numerical test. If you pass the numerical test your competency based responses will be reviewed by a member of our recruitment team.  The following stages involve a telephone interview, face to face interview and typically an assessment centre.
