Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. We have discovered new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer that together have saved millions of lives across the world.

We have been at the heart of the progress that has already seen survival rates double in the last thirty years. But one in three of us will still get cancer at some point. Our groundbreaking work, funded entirely by the public, will help ensure that millions more people will survive.

We work in partnership with others to achieve the greatest impact in the global fight against cancer. We provide life-changing information to anyone affected by cancer. We run awareness initiatives so that cancer can be detected early and help people reduce their risk of the disease. And our campaigning and lobbying keeps cancer at the top of the political agenda.

Every spring, summer and autumn Cancer Research UK offers a number of internships to high-calibre individuals looking to gain work experience in the fields of fundraising, marketing, communications and campaigning. Whether you are an undergraduate, graduate or someone who is looking to change career paths, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills at one of the UK's leading charities.

We also run graduate schemes within both our scientific and fundraising directorates. These schemes will place you at the heart of our organisation, working alongside experienced professionals across a number of teams. You will be provided with a wealth of support and will have the opportunity to tailor your placements and development to your aspirations.

In addition to this, we are currently offering you the chance to win an exclusive three-week work placement with either Cancer Research UK or one of our corporate partners (Google, IPC Media, Somethin’ Else and Time Out) to gain invaluable work experience in the working world. All you need to do is come up with a unique fundraising idea that demonstrates your business skills.
