Work Experience Placement and Internships with over 110 (and growing!) Professional Work Experience placements all around the world: There is something for all fields of study, previous experience not necessarily required. Specialised/tailor-made projects available on request! Travellers is the leading provider of well-structured work experience placements. Gain worthwhile, hands-on experience in Law, Journalism, Medicine, Physiotherapy, Architecture, Hotel & Catering, Web Design, Veterinary Medicine, Tourism, and much more. Our more unusual internships include PR & Event Management in an Animal Rehabilitation Centre, or Photojournalism on a magazine in Beijing, for example. An excellent entry on your CV that will put you head and shoulders above the competition in the job market.
Teach Conversational English (and other subjects) available all over the world: You’ll give much-needed help to disadvantaged children in the local communities, where you’ll really make a difference! You don't need any qualifications, just a desire to help improve the children’s chances of a better life.
You can also teach Sports, Drama, IT, academic subjects, Music, Football, Cricket, Drama, Maths, Art - the list is almost endless. Your help is very much appreciated.
Conservation Placements in most of our destinations:
Work with orphaned Elephants, Orang-utans, Lions, Rhinos, Leopards, Cheetahs, Wild Dogs, Chimpanzees… and many more different species. You can also help to maintain coral reefs, natural forests and waterways. Hands-on rehabilitation and cutting edge research conservation work available.
Marine Conservation Placements: in Australia, South Africa, Mauritius and Malaysia:
Work with Great White Sharks, Whales, Dolphins, Penguins and Seals. Assist in valuable Whale & Dolphin Research which contributes to global marine conservation. You can also assist local communities to develop sustainable income-earning activities, such as making souvenirs and crafts for the local tourist market.
Care and Orphanage Projects, plus Community Development available all over the world: Challenging Care projects available in Orphanages, Crèches, Schools, Hospitals and Social Centres working with orphans, abused children, street children, children with learning and physical disabilities, and adults. Projects available across the globe in some of the most needy and poor communities. You can work in hospitals, orphanages, social work and care centres, and always with the objective of helping the local community. You don't need any qualifications (unless otherwise specifically stated), just a lot of caring, loving and comforting. These children really need that.
Drama, Music and Dance in most destinations:
Teach Drama, Music and/or Dance to underprivileged children in schools in poorer communities. The Arts are an excellent means of communicating and are also huge fun for the kids! You don't need any qualifications, just lots of enthusiasm and a good imagination.

Coach and/or Play Sports in most of our destinations:
If you’re a sports enthusiast get involved in our sports coaching projects. For example, Football is very popular in Ghana, South Africa, Sri Lanka, India and Kenya and we have started a Cricket Coaching project in Ghana recently which desperately needs volunteers to ensure that the project continues. You can also teach sports that don't have such a high profile, such as basketball, netball, swimming, and others – basically anything you have a passion for and knowledge of!
Language Courses: in Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, China, India, Kenya
Live the language! We have courses in Spanish in Argentina and Ecuador, Portuguese in Brazil, Swahili in Kenya, Tamil in India and Mandarin in China. The best way to learn a language or improve your language skills is to live and breathe it. On our courses you get to learn the culture at the same time – and it is a valuable additional to your CV, particularly in this economic climate!
You can also combine a language course with any other type of project if you'd like to!
Something Different! Amazing Cultural Courses around the world:
Learn the Salsa and Tango in Argentina, or take a Photography course in South Africa or Latin America, or a Flying Course (Private Pilot Licence) in South Africa .... If you want some extreme activity, do a Paragliding Course, or a surfing course in Rio, or become a qualified PADI scuba instructor in 6 months in Malaysia. For something more gentle, a Meditation course in a Buddhist Retreat in Sri Lanka or cookery in Cambodia. Mix and match a few projects!
We have lots of "off the wall" projects to make your time overseas even more exciting!
PRICES: Prices vary from project to project and start from £545 for 2 weeks (Thailand). Most of our placements are flexible and you can usually choose your own start and finish dates. Included is full support from the moment of booking and throughout your placement to your return home. There are support staff 24/7 in all our destinations worldwide and a 24 hour emergency international telephone line direct to the Head Office. All meals are provided, unless otherwise stated. Accommodation is provided (whether a rented house, a hotel/hostel, homestay, apartment or flat). You’ll be met at the nearest airport on your arrival by our in-country manager who will take you to your accommodation and give you a full induction into the area. He/she will also be on call 24/7 and you’ll see them frequently. Pre-departure you’ll receive comprehensive information about every aspect of your placement and necessary preparations, ranging from what to pack, to visa information, to what to do on your weekend travel in the country. Your safety, well being and happiness throughout your placement are our primary concerns and we will keep in touch with you throughout.
