The Mountbatten Institute is a not-for-profit organization that administers paid, one-year internship programmes in New York for enthusiastic and skilled young graduates. The mission of the Mountbatten Internship Programme is to foster international and cross cultural understanding through experiential education, practical training and residence abroad and to provide opportunities for personal growth and professional development.

Since 1984, the Mountbatten Internship Programme has provided hundreds of university graduates with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the high-powered business environment of New York City - giving them a chance to expand their horizons, perspectives, and friendships. All of our interns are recruited and interviewed by our own staff, mainly in the UK but also in Sydney, Australia and in Bangkok, Thailand.

The 100+ Sponsor Companies we work with range from multinational financial giants down to small companies and sole proprietorships. They are selected due to the diversity of their operations and their commitment to intercultural exchange and experiential education.
