Established in September 2008, Raconteur Media is a special-interest media company and publisher of high quality special reports exclusively for The Times, The Sunday Times and most recently The Wall Street Journal Europe. The company also produce industry surveys and digital publishing solutions such as microsites and tablet apps.
Our concept is an innovative approach to the free newspaper and publishing model. Where most free newspaper or magazine business models have their copies circulated through street distribution or in retail outlets, we use the powerful distribution network of the world’s leading newspapers instead to reach our readers.
The company was founded upon the principles of using editorial excellence and eye-catching design in business journalism and current affairs in order to create a first-class publishing organisation.
Despite starting in the midst of the recession in 2008, Raconteur Media has been a profitable business since week 7 of launch and has produced over 165 different special reports in The Times and The Sunday Times.
The company has also won, and been shortlisted for, several industry awards over the past 3 years - most notably as winners of “Young Entrepreneur of the Year” at the Startups Awards 2010 and as finalist in the New Brand category at the Marketing Society Awards 2011.
