LCH.Clearnet is the world’s leading independent clearing house group. We serve a whole variety of international exchanges and platforms, and we clear many “over-the-counter” asset classes. We are, for example, the world’s number 1 clearer in interest rate swaps, number 2 in fixed income and repo, and number 3 in futures and options. In 2010 we cleared 1.7 billion contracts. Overview
Our rapid growth means that, for the first time ever, we have put in place a structured graduate programme to develop the very best talent into the clearers and risk managers of the future. Based at our London offices, it’s usually an 18-month programme with three six-month rotations in different parts of our business, although there may be a larger number of graduate placements in some parts of the business. Wherever possible we’ll be taking a flexible approach to tailoring the rotations to each graduate’s skills and interests. On-the-job learning is supplemented with formal training and support to achieve relevant professional qualifications.

Who should apply
We are happy to consider all academic disciplines, although some roles require degrees with a substantial numeracy or IT element.
If you have achieved, or are on track to achieve, a 2.1 honours degree or equivalent, and have a passion for working in technology or business in the global financial markets, we would like to hear from you. You need to be fluent in English, and other languages can be an advantage in some roles.
Across the business we value natural team players, good communicators and self-starters. You’ll also need to have enthusiasm and a willingness to challenge conventional thinking.
