The Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) has been central to the UK’s defence for almost 60 years, providing and maintaining the warheads for the country's nuclear deterrent.

We are the nation’s largest high-tech research, development and production facility and cover the whole lifecycle of nuclear warheads – from initial concept and design, through component manufacture and assembly, to in-service support, decommissioning and disposal.

Work locations - Nr Reading, Berkshire.

Degree disciplines and class required - Engineering, Science & Business (please see our website www.awe.co.uk for full list of disciplines). 2.2 or above, HND, MSc or PhD.

Salary and benefits – From c.£21,500 starting salary, 28 days’ holiday in addition to statutory bank holidays, final salary pension scheme and graduate-focused package.
