The CII is the world’s largest professional body for insurance, risk and financial services. We have more than 100,000 members in over 150 countries, a reflection of the global nature of our profession. The CII also contains the Personal Finance Society (PFS), which is the UK’s largest professional body for financial planners.
Our profession deals with an incredible range of risks, from staging London 2012 to managing political risk, from helping customers after a natural disaster to negotiating multi-million pound contracts in aviation. ‘No two days are the same’ is a cliché but is completely true in this diverse and global sector.
We develop professional qualifications such as the Advanced Diploma in Insurance or Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning that help graduates develop their careers. Many graduate schemes in our sectors contain our programmes, which are seen as a mark of professional capability (and also happen to be recognised globally).
