Event information: This event is for female undergraduates and gives an insight into technology careers with leading employers. Building on the success of previous events we are very pleased that IT's not just for the boys! will be happening again. Taking place on 30 March 2012 the event is designed to inspire and educate female undergraduates on the opportunities available to them within the technology sector. The event incorporates a variety of sessions that discuss topical issues in the sector and the experiences of successful female technologists, and gives an overview of the application and interview process to raise awareness on how to be a successful candidate.

'I wanted to thank you for the opportunity to attend the event last year, it provided me with an insight into the sector. It allowed me to speak to women within IT and I benefitted from hearing about their careers and job descriptions.

'Some of the guests that presented at the event really opened my eyes and pushed me to apply for jobs that I may not have otherwise applied for before attending. The event provided me with the confidence to network and meet various people from within the IT sector.'
