Apparently over a third of employees want to change jobs post recession but are staying put for the mean time.  Do you think this is the safest option?  I am in that 1/3 and do wish to change industry entirely, will there ever be a right time to do it? 

I think if it's something that you feel you can accomplish while being secure, then go for it. Don't take risky moves - you may find out you don't like it, or that you're not as good as you thought you were at the job! I am also in this 1/3 but I am biding my time, because I want to make sure I make the right decision (which is especially important at this time).

The recession was an overblown media farce. There is work out there if you just look for it.
