What do you think of the idea of having a national charity day, where we all have a day off work to do some charitable acts as a company? I think this would be a fantastic incentive to get people thinking about issues they may not have realised existed, and perhaps companies could end up really following a charity as a result! It would also be a good way to give local charities a boost.

A nice idea in principal, in practice it would be abused by one and all for a day in the pub.

Nah, I don't think so - I think we'd all have to go there together so we wouldn't be able to get out of doing it! And absolutely no pubs allowed! ;)
