What do you think of your student union?

First off, mine was massive! Spread over about five floors including a club and a cinema. Unfortunately the building itself wasn't that nice, but there was so much to do and some great places to just chill out with friends. Have you ever been to a student union that was very well-kept, or one that was completely dilapidated? I'd be interested to know!

My student union structure has changed completely since i was there but they managed to keep the great atmosphere it always had. When i was there i would never of thought that it would have flat screen tv etc, in my day they would have had snake bite all over it.....

The student Union was always a great place to meet with friends and to go on a fri and sat night. Why is it in London you can buy Snakbite anymore???

Mine was absolutely rubbish, I went to Greenwich and studied at a satelite campus, our Freshers week consisted of a wine and cheese evening.

my student union was over two floors and consisted of two bars, offices and a big dance hall. it was in an old builiding, was pretty crummy but just what you would expect and want from a union, and it was great!! enough room to get drunk and dance around for about 1,500 peolpe

Whilst I was there, my union was completely transformed after winning a grant for best Union - which when it won, it was deinitely not - it was reminiscent of an old school hall!  However by the time I left it featured an amazing club, 3 brilliant pubs and cafes, 3 shops, a fully equipped radio station and a theatre space!  It constantly held markets flogging things at prices poor students could afford and I really loved hanging out there.  Good job HULL!

Enough about student unions......My exams are starting two weeks from today. I have soooooooooooo much to do still  ( assignments and tests) I need study tips please help me .... somebody. Failing any module for me right now is out of the question.....HELP!!

Just to bring it back to Unions.  I was also there when Hull got the transformation and apparently it has changed since I left but it was much needed and made the Union the hub of student life - unless you count Planet Coffee (where I worked haha)
