What have been your experiences of student debt? Are you overloaded with it or do you have a way of managing it so it doesn't become unbearable?

I was lucky in that my parents set up a university fund for me when I was born, so I didn't have to take out the student loan for all three years, just two of the three. This made it a lot easier for me to manage my own money. I also tried not to go on any huge spending sprees. Okay, maybe not any - but many!!

I found my first two years bearable but my final year was a killer. Suddenly I seemed to have no money, so ended up getting a part time job to avoid maxxing out my overdraft. I know that everyone will be in the same position as me with regards oweing the state a fortune for student loans, but thought I could prevent overdraft issues so took the appropriate measures.
