I admit it - I went to uni to avoid having to get a full-time job straight away! Of course, that is a very bad motivation for wanting to go, you should go because you want to do the degree. But I am interested to know if anybody else went to uni "just because"?

Not me personally (though I loved the student life aspect of university). But I do know a friend who went to uni because their parents kept nagging them to get a job and they didn't feel ready. Unfortunately, if you go there for the wrong reasons you're unlikely to do that well. No passion, no productivity, as the saying goes...
