Google reckon they've worked out if you're going to quit your job - a complex algorithm will reveal if you're about to scarper:

Do you think it's possible for some mathematical formula to get into your working mindset, as Google claim?

I think that this could work in some cases though I doubt it's entirely accurate in every case. To be honest you can get the impression that somebody might be thinking of leaving just by their general day to day behaviour. If they're fed up or jaded with the work, or have lost the sense of passion in what they're doing, that's a big hint. Not everyone leaves their job because of bad salaries or lack of pay rises.

What a silly thing to have come up with.  Do these people have nothing better to do with their time?  Here we are struggling to find work and some fool has sat in an office figuring out the likelihood of someone quitting a job!  As ChiefWinger says, you don't need a formula to work it out just an understanding of those around you.  People can be read more easily than books for the majority of the time.

I think this doesn't work in practice, it might be a nice little tool but you're never going to account for everybody this way.

hmmm...i don't believe it.  there is no formula to figure accurately the imprediatbility of the human being,.

So true, I've known people who have stayed in poorly-paid jobs for years because they enjoy the work they do. It's impossible to generalise with something so complex and there are plenty of reasons somebody might leave a job.
