Lots of my friends, and me, have started jobs or internships in September. Some people are finding it quite hard adjusting to working life (my best friend / party animal is now in bed by 9 every night). I'm easing into things and actually enjoying some structure. Plus, a drink at the end of the day is so much nicer if you've deserved it.
How is everyone getting on? Any horror stories or golden employers?

I found it quite tiring at first. Adjusting to a new routine was tough so I can relate to your friend's situation. But it was also really exciting and I wanted to prove myself, so I got stuck into everything. It's a great feeling when you go home at the end of the day and can say "yes, I achieved this today!"

I was very, very nervous. I wanted to impress but all the time thought I was going to screw things up, so I was pretty stressed for the first month or so. Once I got past my probationary period I eased up a little and now am finding things a lot more manageable.
