I am a very politically minded chappie and would love to make my mark on the British political scene.  Naturally, I realise this is not going to happen tout de suite.  I was wondering though if anyone knew the appropriate route to get my self started.

Depends which route you want to take, but maybe start with university politics

I would recommend initially getting involved in local politics and working your way from there.  By starting locally and making a name for your self, word will spread about you making climbing up the ladder easier.  But this will only happen if you work hard at it and make the right decisions.  Also, it is important to remember to do your best to not make enemies.  One enemy, how ever small, could lead to a bad word being spread about you and that'll be it.
