The first new nuclear power plants in the UK in 20 years. The latest submarines. Record-breaking aircraft carriers. Our epic projects often make history. But they also need to make commercial sense. And on our two-year commercial programme, you’ll learn how we keep our balance sheets in shape.
WHERE YOU CAN JOIN US
You can find out more about the areas of our business offering places on the Commercial programme for autumn 2017 on our website. But no matter which team you join, you could be based anywhere in the UK. That’s why we ask all our graduates to be flexible and willing to move during their programme.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Your placements could take you to any part of our business. You might be managing elements of multimillion-pound bids, supporting commercial contracts, or spotting new opportunities in our marine, defence or nuclear sectors. And once you have a handle on what we’re about and how we do things, you’ll specialise in an area that suits your strengths and ambitions.
WHAT YOU’LL GET OUT OF IT
It’s a really exciting time to do business in the UK. So many markets are seeing really interesting – and profitable – work being done. And on this programme, you’ll get a chance to experience some of them. Along the way, you’ll enjoy a competitive starting salary of £27,000 - £30,000 and our full support in getting accredited with a professional body.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You’ll need a 2:2 (Hons) degree in Business, Economics, Law or another relevant subject. You’ll also need to satisfy the MOD’s security requirements (and may need to complete a medical assessment) and have a full, clean UK driving licence.
Applications for this programme are currently open. To avoid disappointment we recommend that you apply sooner rather than later as we work on a rolling basis and where we experience large volumes of applications, we will close the role early.
