Sales & Marketing Graduate
Supporting the Senior Account Manager to maximise sales & contribution within defined accounts, building strong relationships and customer confidence in Swallowfield with buyers and other influencing personnel.
Account Management & Customer Relations - identify & respond to customer needs, initiate customer contact, determine and carry out appropriate level of day to day liaison under the guidance of line manager. Monitor critical paths for all projects working closely with the NPI and Customer Services team. ensure effective communication and critical paths to the customer, ensuring that we maximise OTIF and customer service. Brief new projects within the business and monitor and drive the progression of all developments through the business.
Sales Monitoring & Stock Control - assist in setting budgets, monitor and control, monitor & control account sales, contribution & volume, maximising profitability. Assist in the forecasting account volumes, sales (& margins) by period as directed by line manager, seek to keep all stock to a minimum and proactively monitor on a weekly basis. Manage all write-offs and sweep-ups with the customer promptly in line with discontinuation or amendment of lines.
Pricing & Negotiation - manage feasibility costing as required pricing of new projects under the guidance of line manager. Submit all formal quotations as required and ensure accurate communication internally, action amendments to pricing as appropriate and in a timely fashion. Identify cost saving opportunities, working closely with other departments to realise benefits and drive margin improvement/additional sales.
New Business Development - identify new business opportunities within existing customer base & with potential new customers. Proactively keep up to date with market developments, new launches and customer development strategies, seeking new opportunities for Swallowfield growth, keep abreast of customer & competitor strategies working closely with the marketing, creative design and packaging technology team, assess and propose new opportunities. Compile presentations and present as appropriate. Manage the briefing of new developments in line with agreed processes and procedures
Communication - act as the customer representative on site. Assist in the preparation of period reports / tracking documents. Ensure customer procedures are communicated, agreed, documented and implemented as appropriate, maintain accurate customer records & monitor customer satisfaction reports by account.
SALARY: £17,500 to £18,500 depending on experience
