Internal Audit: Technology & Change
Join our graduate scheme, and we’ll turn your passion for technology into a career. Not only will you work with a dynamic and high performing team with access to all areas of the bank, you’ll have the opportunity to achieve a masters in Cyber Security or become a Chartered Accountant. Share in our determination, passion and drive, and we’ll help you to develop your skills to fulfil your potential.
Our purpose is to keep the bank and our customers safe by helping our colleagues put the right controls in place. We’re independent of the business, we call out risks by asking tough questions and we challenge everything.
With keen regulator interest and evolving customer needs, it’s a challenging time in the financial services industry. And you’ll play a key role in providing assurance that RBS has an effective control environment in place to meet these challenges.
What you can expect
Take your first step into a graduate role in Internal Audit, and we’ll invest in you and help you to shape a rewarding career. You’ll enjoy working in a challenging area, and we’ll support you every step of the way as you stretch your analytical talents and build a keen understanding of risk management and controls. From day one, you’ll be working side by side with experienced auditors on audits – ranging from IT Applications, Information Security and Infrastructure, to Operations, Change, Regulatory and Payment Scheme Certifications. You’ll also get to know senior people in the business area you’ll be auditing. You’ll contribute to every stage of the audit life cycle on a day to day basis. This will involve shaping audit objectives, understanding processes, finding risks, testing controls and contributing to final reports on your findings. The focus and scope of your work will change with each new task, helping to broaden your experience as you work with our diverse team. All the while, you’ll be building your understanding of all types of financial services, and the operations and technology behind them. You’ll be a valued member of a multi-disciplinary Audit team – in London or Edinburgh – and we’ll give you opportunities to work collaboratively across global teams. You’ll learn on the job, by working closely with your experienced Technology, Operations and Change Audit colleagues. And you’ll benefit from managerial guidance throughout the programme.
