What you can expect
In Private Banking, you can either join Coutts or Adam & Company. Our two to three year graduate programmes offer you the skills, experience and exposure to real experts to start a vibrant career. We’ll help you determine where your future lies, as you take a step towards being one of our future private bankers or wealth managers.
Your programme will be divided into five structured and support placements to give you a real in-depth insight into what we do. From your first placement on the frontline in our 24/7 telephony and digital banking service, right up to support your move in your private banker or wealth manager role in your final placement – we’ll give you all the support you need to shape a successful future.

You’ll be resilient, unflappable and capable of working in a fast-moving, challenging environment. You’ll also need the determination to complete professional qualifications, while gaining on the job experience in a full time role.
Whatever your degree subject, we ask all our graduates to have a minimum 2.1. We’ll also consider your top three A-level grades (or equivalent) from the first sitting (excluding General Studies) and look for a minimum of 320 UCAS points or prior experience.
