Communications & Marketing
If you’re looking to build a great career, then look no further. As joining our Communications & Marketing graduate programme will give you responsibility and challenge. And with commitment, you’ll have a real platform to build a great career.
Communications & Marketing is a dynamic and creative function with a key role in implementing RBS’s wider strategy. From engaging colleagues and making sure they understand the bank’s direction, to communicating our results to the markets and connecting with our customers, our impact should not be underestimated. And by telling the story of RBS, we play a huge part in protecting and improving our reputation.
What you can expect
You’ll join a two year programme, with placements across different areas of the Communications & Marketing function. Your journey will be unique to you. You’ll have your own development plan, and you’ll pursue your own career passions.
You’ll have the opportunity to see first hand how diverse our roles are. You might spend time in Brand & Marketing, or experience one of our busy Media Relations teams. From there you could rotate to Sustainability, or Communications & Brand Development. Or you might prefer an opportunity in Public & Consumer Affairs.
Wherever your programme takes you, you’ll be contributing to key pieces of work. You’ll get a great insight into the function, and will broaden your skillset as much as your perspective.
Who we're looking for
Are you passionate about branding and brand development? How about improving our customers’ experience? Or helping our colleagues to understand how they can make the bank’s vision a reality?
If you can answer yes to these questions; if you can inspire and motivate your co-workers and external partners; if you’re proactive, creative and a strategic thinker, this may be the perfect place for you.
You won’t need to have studied any particular subject, but disciplines like Marketing, Business, Social Sciences and Languages build skills which are particularly applicable here.
Whatever you’ve studied, we ask all of our graduates to have a minimum 2:1. You don’t need any specific UCAS points for this programme.
