What you can expect
You’ll quickly build your network and expertise, as you begin with a three week training and induction programme. You’ll have the opportunity to take part in a tailor-made Corporate Social Responsibility event along with fellow graduates, line managers and senior managers.
On your two year graduate programme, you’ll be based in one location and complete three, eight month rotations, spending time learning and developing in a variety of business areas. You’ll experience placements in Shared Services, where we support our colleagues through building management, systems management and specialist operations support, or in Payments where we look at bank transactions, shape payment strategy and manage cash flow.
You can take a look at our Customer Franchises to deliver Services products and services for customer facing division, or even create real insight for our business areas in Solutions & Innovation. You can even see how Transformation implements our customer focused and strategic change programmes.
The networking skills you develop from day one will be key as you interact across teams and with business stakeholders to contribute the fresh thinking we need in our ever changing business. Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for graduates who will see problems from different angles, find innovative solutions and discover the impact of change. We look for more than just a degree - we look for motivation, because we know if you’re passionate about your work and serving our customers, you’ll be better placed to succeed. We want you to be curious, flexible, resilient, creative and commercially aware.
We’re looking for graduates who can engage with key stakeholders across our business and build great relationships. We need you to be confident and analytical with an eye for spotting opportunities to make things better.
You may already have some experience in a role managing or supervising people or projects, but if not, you'll be presented with opportunities to develop these skills. Whatever your degree background, you don’t need to come to us with any specific UCAS points. We only ask that you’re on course for a 2:2 or above.
Development and support
Our programme has three eight month rotations, and each will help you build knowledge and skills across a wide range of Business, Change, Project and Data Analyst roles. We offer variation so you can experience a wide range of projects in our business environments including Customer Franchise Operations, Payments and Transformation.
You’ll join our Building Careers programme, which is underpinned by a learning journey with a range of development options and the opportunity to achieve a recognised external accreditations. This could include an International Diploma in Business Analysis, PRINCE 2 or a Certificate in Business Engineering and Business Analysis Practice.
As you progress through the programme, we’ll be looking to you to show growth in your skills and knowledge:
Rotation 1: Consistently look to demonstrate the skills at a Foundation level while working towards an industry renowned accreditation
Rotation 2: Leading stakeholder workshops and forums and looking to identify opportunities for process improvement. You’ll drive yourself to work independently and on continuous improvement
Rotation 3: You’ll have the full capability to move into your permanent role as a skilled change consultant. You’ll have the confidence to deliver and manage your own work streams, complex assignments and reports. You’ll develop project management skills to support you transition into analyst disciplines including Project and Change.
Future Career Path
Our previous graduates have moved into a variety of exciting positions. From delivering improvement initiatives across teams and building the capability of our Team Leaders as Business Improvement Consultants, to rebranding our branch network to meet evolving customer needs as a Design Manager.
Or you could follow your predecessors in putting your research and analysis expertise to the test as a Payments Change Analyst. You could even look at how we deal with change as an Investment & Restructuring Analyst, as our business evolves to its strategic goals.
