We are looking for Retail Tutors for one of the Uk's largest training, skills and education providers based in Torquay.

Job Purpose -
To support young people between the ages of 16-23 to develop valuable skills and the behaviours that will enable them to access Apprenticeship vacancies with employers, through delivery of high quality and innovative pre-employment training programmes.

Responsibilities -
* Ensure that all learners have an individual training schedule to address their training needs.
* Continuously review learner progression to ensure that the training continues to meet their individual needs.
* Prepare, deliver and review comprehensive lesson plans for all sessions that address the identified training needs of the learner group.
* Actively gain feedback from learners and other sources, reviewing training content accordingly.
* Confidently use varied delivery techniques to engage and stimulate both individuals and learner groups and increase learner retention. This may include off-site activities.
* Dealing with difficult / demanding learners and situations without this being of detriment to the larger group.
* Develop a sound knowledge and understanding of the contractual requirements e.g. learner attendance and discipline; ensures Ingeus equal opportunities and health and safety procedures are adhered to, with specific attention to health and safety requirements when organising off-site activities.
* Completion of all necessary administration e.g. reviews, timesheets, training plans.
* Assist learner's progression towards qualifications, placement opportunities and movement into employment.
* Carry out any additional duties as reasonably requested by line management.
* To promote the use of Learning Assistant to both learners and colleagues.

Skills/Experience required -
Teaching Certificate/ PTTLS/ CTTLS or equivalent
Certificate in Education - (Desirable) or equivalent
TAQA would be advantageous but not essential
Excellent interpersonal skills and some experience of engaging within diverse social range.
Understanding what is needed to assist individuals into work, sustain employment and develop a career path.
An ability to handle multiple priorities and projects and delivery of the highest quality.
Skills in developing training and adapting learning to meet a broad range of social groups.
Teaching skills with the ability to deliver accredited learning.

The role is for a 9 weeks inital contract. GBP12 per hour working 37.5 hours per week (GBP450 per week). In addition you can also claim mileage from home.
