Our award winning client is actively looking for individuals to enter the industry and train to become a fully qualified vocational Assessor. Due to significant contract growth we have a number of exciting opportunities within the rapidly expanding, Government backed Apprenticeship sector.

ASSESSOR ROLE OVERVIEW:

Provide coaching and support to apprentices mainly by telephone contact and to liaise with their employer to ensure they complete the requirements of their apprenticeship on time. The role will also include making assessment decisions on their competence.

The role is within the insurance team so a background within this industry is essential along with good communication skills to provide a high level of professional advice and support to apprentices and their employers.

ASSESSOR ROLE DUTIES:

- Arranging calls with the Apprentices and their employer to induct the apprenticeship
- Arranging and undertaking subsequent support reviews which will be mainly by telephone
- Managing own time and workload to ensure visits are efficient and effective
- Supporting and advising students to ensure that they fully complete the requirements of the scheme
- Working with the Quality Assurance Team to ensure all quality assurance requirements are met
- Supporting the apprentice with their Functional Skills qualifications as appropriate
- Reporting on student progress
- Ensuring target retention and completion rates for Apprenticeships are met

ASSESSOR ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

- Experience within the insurance industry
- Ability to communicate professionally and work closely with and support all stakeholders
- Experience of working autonomously and managing own workload efficiently and effectively
- Excellent communication skills - written, over the telephone and face to face
- Functional Skills at Level 2 and TAQA Level 3 Assessors Award preferred, but not essential
- UK driving licence

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check and checks on driving licence / points.

Full training and support is provided with salary increments based on your progression.
