A Hedge Fund Business has a vacancy for a Trade Execution Analyst

Location:  Guernsey, Channel Islands

Salary:      Excellent, plus fully paid accommodation

Are you looking for a challenging role that will use your excellent analytical skills and allow you to have a superb quality of life working in the Financial Services sector in the Channel Islands?

The Client

A highly successful Hedge Fund operating 24hrs, on a large scale.  Further details will be provided should you be selected for interview.

The Role

You will join the Trade Execution Team - a group of experienced, analytical and technical financial professionals who work with and operate automated quantitative trading strategies.  Working shifts as part of a close execution team preparing, diagnosing and fixing problems as part of a hugely complex process.  You will contribute to some levels of the ongoing design, implementation and operation in addition to overseeing trades in all markets.  You will also be communicating with 3rd parties in London as part of the team.

You will be working on a rotation basis – periodically working night or day shifts for trading in Asian, European and North American markets.

The Person

You are bright and have some Financial work experience

You have achieved a 2.1 or 1st Degree.  Probably in a Maths, Engineering, Economics or Computing related subject.

You have good computer skills and VBA programming skills would be a big advantage

You are analytical and enjoying solving problems.  Attention to detail is one of your strengths.

You are a team player – this is not a role for ‘lone hero’s’.

·You are looking for a role outside the UK.

Guernsey

Guernsey is a small island with population around 60,000.  There are beautiful beaches and cliffs, clean air, almost no crime, almost no unemployment and fantastic restaurants. There are numerous sports clubs and societies and it is a very healthy lifestyle. The small islands of Herm and Sark are nearby and accessed by Ferry or local boats.  The climate is good and it is warmer than the mainland UK – particularly in the winter.

Accommodation is provided and the commute to work is a 5 minute walk along the coast to the office.

There are excellent ‘off island’ transport facilities to Jersey, UK and parts of Europe - by air and sea.

Guernsey is not part of the UK, or the EU and has a very strict immigration policy and it is more difficult to hire non EU Passport holders, and more difficult to hire a candidate who would be looking to bring partners/dependents with them.     (The client has done it before though and would most definitely do so again for an outstanding candidate who was clearly committed to starting a new life in Guernsey).
