Do you have a methodical approach?
Are you looking for an opportunity to use your analytical skills?

What’s Involved

Graduates on our Finance programme have the opportunity to develop a broad understanding of all areas within our Finance department.  You can expect placements in a range of areas, including Liquidity and Capital Planning, Financial Reporting, Financial Planning and Financial Control.  We’re looking for team players, individuals who are great with numbers but who also pride themselves on their networking and people skills. During the graduate programme you will:

  • Interpret complex figures into simple concepts
  • Expand your technical skills and knowledge
  • Build relationships with other key areas of the Society.
  • Receive study support towards a relevant professional qualification
  • Assisting with and leading on our community support projects

How will you develop?

By creating a programme that offers the chance to learn from some of the most experienced people in the industry, with continuous feedback and mentoring, we feel we can really help you develop and grow your career. You’ll also have the opportunity to enhance your core knowledge and skills in areas such as stakeholder engagement, communication and presentation delivery. The experiences and exposure you get will be varied, giving you the chance to use your own initiative but also work closely with others on numerous group projects.

What we’re looking for

In essence joining the Coventry Building Society’s graduate scheme will give you an outstanding introduction to the Financial Services industry with a business that exists to serve the interests of its members. We choose our staff every bit as carefully as we choose the services we offer our members and so look for people who share our values and our way of working. We are looking for individuals who have recently graduated, have a passion for Financial Services and who have achieved (or are expecting to achieve) a 2:1 or above in any degree subject or a Merit or above in a Masters qualification.

You bring potential. We help you realise it.
It's the way work should be.
