Graduate Supply Chain Consultant
You could be part of a team that delivers millions of dollars of savings to a multinational consumer goods company.
Your analysis of the optimal network configuration for a global blue chip company could be advising the board on the return of a multi-million pound investment to future proof their Supply Chain.
Or you could be helping to design and deliver training programmes to ignite a passion for planning and forecasting in a large pharmaceutical company.
These are just examples of the opportunities that are available to you when you join Sequoia’s Graduate Supply Chain Programme.
Over 2 years our Graduate Supply Chain Management programme prioritises your development to ensure you are given the opportunities and experiences to build up the skills and knowledge to tackle the wide variety of work that comes through our doors.
And there are some big challenges - you never know what you will be working on from one project to the next. No day is ever the same and the learning curve is steep.
What you’ll do:
You will hit the ground running and be involved in projects from day one. This means that you gain valuable hands on experience from the very start of your time with Sequoia. What you do will depend on business needs, but you could be at a client for a project mobilisation meeting or getting briefed on analysing some client data to identify issues with their replenishment process.
You will be mainly based in our Buckinghamshire offices but as our clients are based globally you will be required to travel as necessary.
Throughout the program you have the guidance and support not only of your line-manager and mentor, but the whole Sequoia team. This ensures that no matter how large the challenge, you can meet it.
Who we need:
You will have an excellent degree in a numerate subject; where analytical, statistical or numerical skills have been highly developed; an innovative approach to problem solving and the ability to be a self-motivated learner. You will have excellent written English, supported with first class communication and interpersonal skills.
You will need to be a self-starter who has an entrepreneurial streak. You will need to be able to prioritise in a fast paced environment and multi task as needed. You will need a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office – experience in SQL would be a beneficial but is not essential – so a willingness to learn new skills and apply them is a must.
We are a small but highly focused team, so finding the right person with the right attitude and fit with our business is key for us. We are a small business and pride ourselves on giving everyone a voice from day 1, providing the opportunity for you to make a big impact.
You will get a competitive salary, excellent holiday entitlement (that includes 2 weeks at Christmas) and a work/life balance that you don’t often find in larger consultancies.
