About the role
With Rail in the UK receiving substantial investment, the industry provides some of the biggest engineering opportunities in the country. The c2c Graduate Engineering Scheme is unique in offering you a breadth of experience across key industry players. The scheme is part of the Accredited Railway Engineering Scheme (REGS) run in partnership with Association of Train Operating Companies (ATOC), and governed by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). The scheme is geared up to helping you achieve full Chartered status over four years.You’ll follow the ATOC REGS scheme with placements covering hands-on Maintenance, Maintenance Management, Technical Investigations and Engineering Standards, Project Engineering, Vehicle Build and Engineering Design.
You will also be allocated a mentor from our Senior management team who will be there to offer support and guidance on your career development with c2c. We offer a competitive salary, discounted National Rail travel, 25 days holiday plus 8 days Bank Holiday, final salary pension and there is also a discretionary performance related bonus scheme
To win your place on this scheme, you must have gained a good M.Eng degree, accredited by IMechE or IET. Your proven passion for transport engineering will accompany evidence of practical problem solving and leadership potential.
