Imperial College London is now inviting applications for its Finance Training Scheme, aimed at graduates looking to enter higher education administration.

The Finance Training Scheme runs in parallel to the Management Training Scheme in which trainees undertake a series of intensive placements across the College, gaining rapid personal development and a wealth of experience. The successful candidate for the Finance Training Scheme will specialise in finance and study for either the CIMA or ACCA qualification, whilst working on a series of challenging assignments. They will undertake placements in a variety of finance areas across the College, which will typically last longer than those on the Management Training Scheme, to support the development of more specialist knowledge.

Applicants should possess, or expect to achieve this year, at least an upper second class degree/equivalent in any discipline. Communication skills are just as important as academic ability.  No previous finance experience is required, although, applicants should have graduated within the last three years.

Once the application window has closed applicants will be shortlisted and a small proportion of these will be invited for interview in the week commencing 23rd January 2017.  The scheme is usually highly over-subscribed, with only one or two placements available each year.

Successful applicants will be awarded a three year fixed-term contract, starting on a salary of £30,160. Salary progression will be dependent upon performance and exam success.

Salaries quoted will increase by any cost of living award implemented by the College in 2017.
