Junior Application Specialist - Dorking - Dorking
Job Summary The post holder will be responsible for the technical management of a portfolio of business applications, both clinical and administrative. This will require supplier liaison at the technical level, as well as working with Group IT to specify and monitor application hosting and network provision. The job includes taking technical responsibility for new and operational systems. In particular the post holder is expected to provide 2nd line support, establishing end-to-end operation and investigating, isolating and documenting any failures. As well as technical management a portfolio of applications the post holder will be expected to be sufficiently familiar with all other Health Care applications to enable them to support a technical on-call rota. Responsible To Business Systems Lead Qualifications • A Levels or equivalent. Alternatively, appropriate experience from within the healthcare business. Key Responsibilities • To ensure that the systems are maintained and supported so as to ensure that it meets operational business requirements • To assist with the monitoring and maintenance data quality within each of the systems used by the business. • Adherence to the Information Security, Information Governance and Information Management policies, procedures and standards. • Participating in Information Services projects and joint projects with partners within and outside the organisation • Provide data validation and entry, and routine configuration for the system. • To provide daily triage and management of business requests and queries. • To provide routing reporting. • Participate in the development, configuration and ongoing maintenance of clinical and operational systems to ensure that they continue to meet business requirements. • Work closely and in collaboration with clinical leads in configuring business systems to support the administrative and clinical processes. • Undertake testing of the multiple business systems, prior to upgrades in accordance with established processes and procedures and as part of an agreed project plan. • Contribute to the documentation of business systems as part of a comprehensive document library. • Comply to processes supporting data integrity and quality in accordance with prevailing NHS Information governance standards, and in line with contractual requirements. • Maintain the business systems databases to ensure that the latest release of software is functioning effectively, and that updates to look up tables and data dictionaries, including GP, clinical and medical databases are implemented in a timely fashion. • Adhere to the organisations Information Security, Information Governance and Information Management policies, procedures and standards • Monitor and maintain a log of problems that arise, and to ensure resolution of operational problems. • Work closely with Test Analysts to build appropriate test plans and cases, covering functional, non functional, acceptance and regression testing. • Build effective working relationships with internal and external customers • To undertake project work or special tasks in accordance with business requirements. • To comply with Care UK's policies and procedures. This is a permanent full time role that is 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis. Dependent on experience and shifts worked the salary for this role is from GBP20,000 - GBP25,000 per annum.
