When you join our world-leading and high performing Claims team you can expect to gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of all the various aspects of Claims, from Motor to Property to Casualty.
As well as receiving extensive state-of-the-art classroom learning and the highest levels of personal mentoring, you’ll complete regular assignments in the UK and abroad. Our Claims functions can currently be found in Leeds, Glasgow, Farnborough and Fareham, so you can look forward to spending time there learning the ins and outs of areas such as fraud investigation, litigation and major loss.
Your analytical, commercial skills and ability to deal with a variety of internal and external clients will be used everyday as you learn new and important leadership and management skills, as you enjoy regular access to our senior leadership team.
Upon completion of the Global Associate Programme, you’ll be encouraged to take up a managerial position within one of our global operations or in the UK.
Programme Modules:
Introduction – 4 weeks
This will take place at our headquarters in Switzerland. You’ll learn about Zurich and your role as a Global Associate.
Placement in your hiring function – 21 weeks:
You’ll complete in-depth training whilst working in your chosen function.
Short-term assignment in a second function – 4 weeks:
You’ll receive extensive training in a second function to give you a broader understanding of the insurance business.
Strategic training – 1 week:
Taking place in Switzerland, our global senior management teams will cover Zurich’s vision, mission and our long-term strategy.
International assignment – 10 weeks:
Working in a business division outside your home country, you’ll gain further cultural experience and valuable expertise.
Holiday – 3 weeks
Insurance simulation and graduation – after 48 weeks:
You’ll undertake a business simulation, which offers an excellent opportunity to apply your knowledge and experience from the programme to run your own insurance company in a small team. At the end of the week, you’ll have successfully completed the programme. You’ll graduate and take on a full-time role within your function.
Entry requirements:
Minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) and at least 280 UCAS points (or equivalent)
Postgraduate or Masters degree
Fluency in a second European language is advantageous
Flexibility on location in the UK and abroad
