Training
Corus has its own training centre based at Ashorne Hill Management College in Warwickshire. A careers awareness day is run at this training centre for high performing placements prior to their return to University. You will also receive on the job training.

Sponsorship
As a placement student in the UK, if you successfully complete at least a 3-month placement, you are eligible to apply for sponsorship from Corus. This comprises £1,500 given in 3 installments of £500, one per term. Continued sponsorship throughout the academic year is dependent on you achieving preferably at least a 2:1 average and good reports from your university tutor.
Armourers & Brasiers Student Award
Two scholarships of £1,000 are awarded each year to undergraduate students who show excellence in the areas of Materials Science and Materials Engineering. The Worshipful Company of Armourers and Brasiers award the prizes to outstanding candidates during their studies, in conjunction with Corus. Students who undertake an industrial training placement with Corus are encouraged as part of their own development to submit an application for this award. The application takes the form of a report on the project undertaken during their placement.
