Aviation (Fuels Marketing) - Open

Location:  Leatherhead

ExxonMobil Aviation is one of the world's largest marketers of aviation fuel, providing solutions to a variety of customers ranging from international airlines to armed forces, private jets and local flying clubs. The business is headquartered in Brussels and has its main global office in Leatherhead, UK with subsidiary offices around the world. We market aviation fuel in 48 countries and refuel more than 3,000 aircraft every day at over 456 airports around the globe.

Scope of the role

As a new graduate you will be part of a multicultural team supporting our global commercial sales business. You will support the implementation our market strategies and conduct ongoing stewardship of the commercial aviation business. In addition to this you will undertake business improvement projects. In order to complete either analytical or sales aspects of your assignments, you will be interacting with other global businesses which will allow you to broaden your knowledge and understanding of the corporation. To respond to the needs of this truly global business, we are looking for numerate graduates who speak fluent English and preferably at least one additional European language.

Typical career path

Being a large global business, Aviation offers a broad spectrum of job roles from Sales and Marketing to Business Analysis, e-Commerce and Operations. In your first assignments you can expect to be located in our Leatherhead offices in either a Sales role working with your own portfolio of airline customers, or working as a Business Analyst leading projects to improve the business. The skills and knowledge you gain in Aviation will position you strongly for future assignments in other departments of ExxonMobil.

Retail (Fuels Marketing) - Open
Location: Home Office

Scope of the role

You will be working from a home office, but will be a part of a larger and diverse team in the pursuit of enhancing life on the move for our customers. A comprehensive training program is provided to equip you with the right skills and knowledge to really make a difference to our business and customers. Initially this will involve you becoming one of our Territory Managers, responsible for managing the day-to-day sales and marketing operations of a number of our retail stores and leading your own team of store managers.

You will find all the support you need from both an experienced team around you and the professional training provided by internal and external courses.

Current operational projects

We are continually developing new and innovative ways to meet our customers' expectations. Our award winning convenience store format 'On the Run', continues to be our platform for new and exciting customer offers. With over 100 On the Run stores in the UK & Ireland we have numerous projects underway to continually improve our operations.

To support these projects we use the latest technology to further improve our operational effectiveness and customer service. Examples include a project that introduces a new state-of-the-art cash management system for our stores or installing new technology that helps us minimise energy usage.

Typical career path

On joining, your first operational role will be a Territory ManagerNaN located anywhere in the country, followed by a business analysis role. Virtual roles, based in the UK but working with our European affiliates, are also available to further broaden your skills and knowledge. A start in retail can lead to a broad range of career developments, including for example a move into Gas and Power Marketing.

Scope of business

Lubricants and Specialties is a downstream division of ExxonMobil Corporation that is divided into various functions that manufacture and market lubricants and special products.

ExxonMobil Lubricants and Specialties is the world's leading supplier of lubricant products and services for industry, automotive, marine and aviation consumers. We supply a wide variety of high quality lubricants for all applications, and including top quality synthetic oils such as Mobil 1, with energy saving, long life and low emission characteristics. Our customer base is broad and diverse, ranging from individual consumers buying a litre of oil for their car, through to global industrial companies buying thousands of tonnes of lubricants and services for their manufacturing equipment.

The business is headquartered in Fairfax USA, with subsidiary offices in many countries around the world, including at Leatherhead, UK.

We are looking for numerate graduates, preferably with a technical degree or strong technology interest.

Scope of the role

As a new graduate you will be part of a multicultural team responsible for our business in the UK, Ireland and Benelux, including sales, marketing and technical support activities across retail, local, national and strategic global accounts.

Following an initial period of orientation and training, entry level opportunities typically include field sales supporting a senior sales manager or field engineer, marketing support or business development support. After a period of time in a support role, you will start to take on direct responsibility for a select portfolio of customers, including both technical and commercial responsibilities, ensuring that your customer's needs for the correct lubricant are properly addressed.
