You can work in hospitals, orphanages, social work and care centres, and always with the objective of helping the local community. You don't need any qualifications (unless otherwise specifically stated), just a lot of caring, loving and comforting. These children really need that.

TEACHING: Challenging Projects with Underprivileged Communities around the World
Teach your choice of subject to children and adults, usually in the poorer section of society, in Schools, Orphanages, Social Care Centres, Crèches. Children’s Homes, and more, and always with the objective of helping the local community. You’ll benefit the children and also gain valuable skills and experience yourself. Your help is always appreciated because the schools generally have a lack of teachers, high illiteracy rates and poor funding. Teaching the children is hugely satisfying, a high feel-good factor!
You don't need any qualifications to teach. You’re there to assist with conversational English. We have teaching projects in many countries, the hardest part is choosing! If you're a teacher taking a break, you may like to know that many schools regard our teaching programmes as professional development, and that this may be used in appraisals or performance management interviews.
What you can do on our programmes:

Teach English:
You don't need any qualifications. You’ll give much-needed help to disadvantaged children – it improves their chances of a better job and a better life. We do offer a weekend and Distance Learning TEFL course with certification, to help you get started. (www.tefltime.com)
Teach other subjects:
Including Sports, Drama, IT, Music, Science and Maths, Summer Camp, Design Technology - the list is almost endless! Your help is very much appreciated and almost any skills or passions that you have can be harnessed in your voluntary teaching!
Coach Sports:
Bit of a sports enthusiast?! Go and coach your sport to school children, orphans and locals in underprivileged communities. You can coach pretty much anything you love and have some knowledge of – We have a huge range of different sports coaching projects all over the world.

When? Placements are flexible to suit you, so you can choose your start and finish dates. You can go anytime throughout the year, and stay from 1 week to 1 year!
Who can apply? Everyone! All nationalities from 17 years + welcome.
PRICES: Prices vary from project to project and start from £545 for 2 weeks. Most of our placements are flexible and you can usually choose your own start and finish dates. Included is full support from the moment of booking and throughout your placement to your return home.
SUPPORT: We have excellent local staff in all our destination countries, with emergency support available 24/7, to ensure your support and well-being. We also provide comprehensive pre-departure assistance and advice. We’re a Founder Member of the Year Out Group, which is dedicated to setting rigorous standards for structured gap year opportunities.
There are support staff 24/7 in all our destinations worldwide and a 24 hour emergency international telephone line direct to the Head Office. All meals are provided, unless otherwise stated. Accommodation is provided (whether a rented house, a hotel/hostel, homestay, apartment or flat). You’ll be met at the nearest airport on your arrival by our in-country manager who will take you to your accommodation and give you a full induction into the area. He/she will also be on call 24/7 and you’ll see them frequently.
Pre-departure you’ll receive comprehensive information about every aspect of your placement and necessary preparations, ranging from what to pack, to visa information, to what to do on your weekend travel in the country. Your safety, well being and happiness throughout your placement are our primary concerns and we will keep in touch with you throughout.
