Degree to fast track graduates into nutritional management

Mike Barnard, 25 September 2007

Graduates can now study to become professional nutritional managers.

The Sheffield Hallam University MSc Nutrition with Public Health Management is the first course of its type in the UK.

It aims to produce the next generation of nutrition managers with the breadth and depth of skills needed to fast track into a high position. The course will compliment the leadership skills required by Primary Care Trusts and local government.

Sheffield Hallam hopes the course will produce ready made, multi-skilled managers and help save the NHS valuable training resources which can be redirected elsewhere.

The course is aimed at graduates from associated professions such as biomedicine, food science, biology and health sciences and also those professionals with a responsibility for nutrition programmes in need of upskilling or Continuous Professional Development.
