Human resources graduates will increasingly need to start their career at outsourcing providers rather than in-house departments, it has been claimed.
Capita Solutions managing director Wayne Story told Personnel Today external providers with be better placed to hire the best people.
He claims big employers are outsourcing HR work, leaving fewer opportunities for graduates to start their careers at companies.
Story told Personnel Today: "In most organisations there are no longer huge HR departments. People come [to outsourcing companies] to do HR. This means we can get better HR people.
"Increasingly there will be nowhere else to go for people starting out in HR. We would offer a large variety of people issues and a great career path."
