Short of cash? Get a tax rebate of up to £600!

The world of tax can sometimes come across to be very difficult and hard to understand but the funny thing is that it impacts all of us virtually on a daily basis. We all pay tax without even noticing on items such as petrol for our cars, buying hot snacks at lunchtime or even purchasing the latest high heels.

The biggest proportion of tax we all pay is income tax, which is tax on our employment income. In times like these when every penny counts, paying the right amount of tax becomes even more crucial.

Could we all be paying too much? The answer is YES and it’s more likely that you will be paying too much tax as a student or recent graduate. This is where TaxBack4Students.com can help.

How could YOU be entitled to a repayment?

The pointers below show the main reasons why repayments materialise from being employed as a student:

Completing a 12 month internship and returning back to full time education
This applies to all those students who have completed a 12 month internship as part of their university program. The internships usually span over two tax years and therefore in the second tax year, excessive tax is collected. The technical team at TaxBack4Students.com has estimated that on an average salary of £15,000, the repayment due to a student can be as much as £600!

Internships can also span a couple of months and we can confirm that these will also be eligible for an assessment.

Being on the wrong tax code
The emergency tax code “BR” which stands for basic rate, is charged to individulas by employers where they are unaware of the student previous employments/work history. Being on such a code means that your tax free personal allowance is not given to you and that you pay tax at a rate of 20% when in fact it should be immensely less than this.

TaxBack4Students.com can help recover this overpaid tax so that you are brought in line with the amount that you should have been paying.

Working part time while at college/university
Many of us students work while we continue our studies to help support the important costs such as, buying the next round of drinks or having that new iPad. Many students who work part-time never earn more than their personal allowance, which is the tax free amount every individual in the UK can earn before getting taxed. Therefore many students pay tax when in fact they should be paying nothing at all.

We would also like to bring to your attention that every student can make claims dating back 5 tax years, so any work which you may have completed since 2004/05, whether it be a placement or part time work, can still be assessed to see if you have overpaid in income tax. Any overpaid tax will be paid with interest from H M Revenue and Customs, now that is something to smile about.

TaxBack4Students.com has been specially set up to help all students who have tax queries, questions and tax rebates to get back.

Great service, friendly team, tells you everything you need to know and all done very quickly and all very simple. The only waiting part is waiting for HMRC to get back but that is a standard 4 week wait, overall 10/10. :)

My friend sent me an email about this service. She used it, said she got £700 back! So I am defiantly going to try it! I can’t believe the HMRC taken even more tax than they are owed! and students like us don’t have any idea!
