Win an iPad and internship with your views on education

Students can give their views on how to improve the education system, and win an iPad and three-week internship in the process.

Teach First has launched its "What Would You Change?" competition for 2012 open to all university and sixth form students.

Ideas will be judged by an expert panel featuring BBC Education Correspondent Reeta Chakrabarti.

The winners will receive an iPad and a three week internship with Teach First, working with the Communications, Ambassador and Strategy Teams. They will gain an insight into the work of the charity and the chance to develop transferable skills.

The competition is open for text or video entries until March 5th. Two winners will be chosen by the judges, one for students enrolled in Further Education and one for students enrolled in Higher Education. The judges will assess the entries for creativity, potential impact and potential for practical application.

All winners and shortlisted entrants will also be invited to an awards ceremony hosted by Teach First to recognise their contributions to the discussion on educational policy.

James Darley, Director of Graduate Recruitment at Teach First, said: "Teach First wants to ensure that no child’s educational success is limited by their socio-economic background. As part of our 10th Anniversary year, we are keen to hear from current students about what they think of education in the UK and how it could be changed for the better to help us achieve this goal.

"We are thrilled to have such a knowledgeable judging panel this year and hope this competition will stimulate discussion around the issue of educational disadvantage. It is also a wonderful opportunity for the winners to secure some great work experience."
