There are no specific degrees in the UK in this discipline although there may be module options that you should keep your eyes peeled for, and further qualifications that specify in this profession can be gained in further studies. Generally though it is recognised that hands on experience is the best way to get into this role as every company and its needs are different.

Most training for candidates once in a position is based on in house training and learning from peers. Some companies will run graduate schemes normally lasting between a year and two. There are also some professional qualifications that can be gained from the Market Research Society or from The Association for Qualitative Research Bureau.
