Leisure and Tourism

At graduate level these courses tend to give candidates a great grounding in business management. You should have gained knowledge of marketing, finances, health and safety issues, HR and customer service, which are attractive to many different business employers across many sectors including retail.

After completing your degree you can take up positions in hotel, bar, restaurant, golf course or leisure club management, whether in trainee schemes or as an assistant to gain further experience. This should then lead to full management positions that are desired. These courses also tend to be quite hands on so you will gain actual management experience through placements and assignments. This experience will benefit you greatly as many employers are looking for candidates that have shown they can meet the demands of the job.
