I didn't consider further study only because I was so fed up with studying by the end of university! I never wanted to see another essay again!

I am also fed up with the same routine of being in education which has been going on since high school. A GAP year is something I would prefer to do before more study or going out into work.

I came into University as a mature student working 10yrs prior to entry and from my experience it is too much in one hit. It's also very frustrating from a mature students point of view when dealing with people who are still in a school mind set. I'll always recommend a gap year before entering Uni as the degree course will, most of the time, be valued much more and the students are more mature and motivated in a non-scholastic manner.

I'm struggling financially to even meet my most basic needs as it is and the money I owe my bank is rising every time the rent/electricity/gas/phone bills become due. I'm not even sure I'm going to be able to afford to finish my final year, let alone afford post graduate qualifications.

The system is created that way to force us to go for further education :( I did an MSc and I feel that I've paid a lot of money just to be student again for one year and live student life...not to become a "professional".

I'm currently finishing of an MA. I went into studying it straight after my undergrad and I really wish I hadn't bothered. I feel I've wasted a lot of money and time and my new qualification will mean little to potential employers. I think I would have been better off pursing as much work experience as possible instead and saving up some money.

I am considering doing a Social Work MA, as many of the public sector jobs I have been looking at require a social work qualification. The thought of having to go back to university for another 2 years is rather depressing. Just graduated this summer and it is a shame I am finding it so hard to get a decent job without further, more vocational qualifications.
