Lloyds TSB Group plc was renamed Lloyds Banking Group plc on 19 January 2009, following its acquisition of HBOS plc. This made it Britain’s largest retail bank, with one in three people in the UK now banking with the group.

In retail banking, Lloyds TSB and Bank of Scotland are the key brands, and Scottish Widows offers a leading range of insurance and investment products.

The business is focussed on the UK, but Lloyds Banking Group have an international presence too, focussed on countries which have a strong relationship with the UK.

Lloyds Banking Group is the Official Banking and Insurance Partner of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
