University of Aberdeen

University of Aberdeen Good University Guide

Aberdeen is to open its first overseas campus in 2016 at Changwon, in South Korea, making it the first UK university to have a base in the country. The campus will specialise in the offshore-related disciplines that are among Aberdeen’s greatest strengths and provide Aberdeen’s students with new opportunities to gain international experience.

Closer to home, the university has been chosen to lead a new MSc programme aimed mainly at people working in the UK oil and gas industry. The university has its own underwater research facility,Oceanlab, at Newburgh, north of Aberdeen, where its engineers lead the world in creating systems capable of operating at depths down to 36,000ft.
