Technology doesn’t have to be technical… Our Technology programme is open to all degree disciplines.

What’s involved

Our diverse Technology programme will give you full exposure to our IT function over a two year period. You will get to experience different placements that provide opportunities that are suitable to both technical and non-technical backgrounds; And as this is a graduate programme, we don’t expect you to come with polished technical skills!

Technology plays a central role in the way the Society is run, maintaining the variety of systems necessary to a modern financial institution and developing new tools and techniques that give our Members the experience they deserve. Technology graduates will have the chance to get fully involved in the full spectrum of these exciting projects and will support our IT team with:

  • Developing IT solutions to support the Society
  • Providing operational support to colleagues
  • Testing solutions to ensure optimal quality
  • Managing projects through the IT change framework
  • Assist with and lead on our community support projects

How will you develop?

By creating a programme that offers the chance to learn from some of the most experienced people in the industry, with continuous feedback and mentoring, we feel we can really help you develop and grow your career. You’ll also have the opportunity to enhance your core knowledge and skills in areas such as stakeholder engagement, communication and presentation delivery. The experiences and exposure you get will be varied, giving you the chance to use your own initiative but also work closely with others on numerous group projects.

What we’re looking for

In essence joining the Coventry Building Society’s graduate scheme will give you an outstanding introduction to the Financial Services industry with a business that exists to serve the interests of its members. We choose our staff every bit as carefully as we choose the services we offer our members and so look for people who share our values and our way of working. We are looking for individuals who have recently graduated, have a passion for Financial Services and who have achieved (or are expecting to achieve) a 2:1 or above in any degree subject or a Merit or above in a Masters qualification.
