Account Executive - Marketing & Sponsorship

Pearlfinders is growing, and we are currently looking for exceptional graduates to join the team. If you’re commercially aware and are looking to work in a client facing role then this is the perfect opportunity for you.

As an Account Executive you’ll be responsible for ensuring that these clients have a positive experience when using the Pearlfinders platform. By monitoring, proactively managing and meeting with your portfolio of approx. 200 clients – worth around £800,000 in revenue to the company – you’ll ultimately improve their customer experience and increase the business’s retention rate.

You will be provided with training from the start; a programme designed for ambitious individuals who are looking to build a successful career in sales and account management. You’ll be working closely with our Sales Director, you’ll be responsible for an annual target of renewal revenue, which you’re expected to hit through proactively engaging with customers

The responsibilities of the Account Executive include:

  • Speaking with new and existing clients to understand their expectations from the product, and coming up with a mutually agreed plan to help the client achieve their objectives.
  • Meeting face-to-face with key accounts to onboard, train and inspire new users of Pearlfinders.
  • Working with the Pearlfinders research team to help them understand the client make-up, and that there’s ‘something for everyone’ in a week’s product.
  • Working with the in-house training executive, and retention marketing specialist, to ensure all clients in your portfolio are fully trained on the full range of product features.
  • Helping clients be realistic with their expectations from Pearlfinders; supporting usage through pointing to training resources.
  • Securing testimonials from happy clients.
  • Negotiate with clients over price; subscription package; number of users to secure the renewal.
  • Upsell/cross-sell new products and services to existing clients.
  • Using software and web programmes to identify problem accounts, and forecast the health of your renewals pipeline.
  • Monitoring logins to stop illegal access.
  • Choose relevant content to share with particular clients.
  • Dealing with objections and complaints from clients.
  • Regular meetings with the Sales Director to report on the above.
