This is an assessement only process for experienced carpenters, bricklayers, painters and decorators or plasterers (referred to as the construction crafts). This means that you should have full-time experience, usually of around 5 years, in one of these construction crafts. Our expert assessors will talk to you about your experience and will match you to the right route to get you qualified. This means you will take one of the following routes: EWPA - Experienced Worker Practical Assessment: this route is the quickest way of obtaining your NVQ, involving a 1 day practical assessment at our Rush Green campus, plus a professional discussion with our assessor to review your past experience; OSAT - On-site Assessment and Training: our assessor will visit you at your place of work up to four times to observe and review your practical skills and knowledge. Our assessors will work with you to build your portfolio of evidence, which can take up to four months depending on the range of work you are engaged in. Your portfolio is reviewed and assessed and, as long as the required standard is reached, the NVQ is awarded. On successful completion of this Level 2 NVQ you may wish to progress on to an NVQ Level 3.
