Graduate Estimator

  • £29,000 per annum (Basic Salary: £27,000 + Travel Allowance: £2,000)

In just 40 years Ardmore has become one of the largest family owned construction groups in the UK. Although we work across the nation we're best known as London's Builder. Multi-phase regeneration schemes with dense urban housing to high rise developments, luxury residential projects and bespoke hotels are a few examples of our work.


Graduates are placed on a 24 months’ structured development programme covering multiple disciplines including Estimating, Planning, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Design Management among others. The programme is rotational and designed to provide graduates with an insight of other how other departments work within our business.

The aim is to equip the graduate with necessary knowledge and skills to be able to oversee all financial aspects of the project from tendering, to arranging labour supply for site in 2 to 3 years. Your individual effort will be supplemented by a range of internal seminars and reviewed quarterly so that you receive comprehensive feedback on your progression.


Your primary role as a Graduate Estimator will require you to carry out the following –

  • Taking-off tender drawings
  • Preparing budgets and bill of quantity using Causeway
  • Sending out enquiries
  • Analysing returned quotations
  • Assisting the bid team to complete tender submission


·Min 2:1 BSc in Cost Estimating, Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or any other related degree at BSc, PG Dip or MSc level

·Proficient use of MS Office

·Previous experience is advantageous (work placement / summer placements)
